Safon.org is a Scandinavian Internet resource for culture and nature, with Scandinavian coastal culture in its widest sense, including minorities, as the main point of reference. Safon.org (formerly known as Hassafon) is currently being converted to wiki format, and this new version has 39 articles thus far.

Within religion and philosophy, the main emphases lie on Judaism (including Rabbinic Judaism, Karaism and Samaritan religion), Sikhism, Bahá’í and Islam.

Sufganiyyót
Bimuelos is a very popular Ḥanukká dish amongst Sefardím from the Balkans and elsewhere. The word “bimuelos” is Judíospanyol and is related to Spanish «bunuelo»; in Turkey, bimuelos are known as lokmas, and in Greece as λουκουμαδες. The modern Hebrew name is סוּפְגָנִיּוֹת (sufganiyyót). Bimuelos are basically small doughnuts: One makes a yeast dough, takes spoonfuls from the dough and drop them into the hot vegetable oil. When done, the bimuelos are dipped in light syrup or sugar water, or one sprinkles some confectionary sugar (icing sugar) over them. Read more ...
